Michael Lange's journey in the entertainment industry began with a concentration in directing at The George Washington University in the District of Columbia. Prior to pursuing his passion for directing, he spent eight years in the advertising business, producing television and radio commercials. The experience allowed him to hone his skills and eventually make the transition to Hollywood, where he has since directed over 260 episodes, two features, and two TV movies.
Michael's mother had initially hoped that he would become a doctor, but he decided to follow his heart and pursue a career in directing. He has no regrets, as he believes that even when mistakes are made, they are not as severe as they would be in a medical setting.
One of Michael's most notable achievements is the inclusion of his film, Intern, in the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. The experience was a peak moment in his career, and he continues to cherish the memory.
In addition to his work in television and film, Michael has also pursued his passion for writing and producing parody CDs with a Jewish theme. He has also been a double threat, serving as both producer and director on several shows, including "Greek" on ABC Family, "Drop Dead Diva" on Lifetime, and "Jane By Design".
Michael's latest project is a half-hour comedy pilot called "Eddie's", which was independently financed. He has also completed his latest musical, "Fair is Foul", which reimagines the story and characters of Macbeth in today's world of Wall Street. Furthermore, Michael hosts a radio show on BrigadeRadio.org called "From the Set with Director Michael Lange", where he shares war stories, and offers his thoughts on politics and social issues, alongside his producer and co-host, Ethan Dettenmaier.
