Michael O'Neill, a talented individual, pursued his passion for acting by completing a course at the renowned National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1981. Under the stage name Michael O'Neill, he made a name for himself by performing in various productions for the state theatre companies in Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide.
From 1989 to 1994, Michael landed a significant role as Dr. Steve Harrison on the acclaimed medical drama GP, broadcasted on ABC TV. This period was marked by his outstanding performance, earning him recognition and accolades.
In 1998, Michael made the decision to settle down in Warragul, Gippsland, Victoria, with his loving wife, Tracey, and their three children. He has since dedicated himself to his new role as a drama teacher at a Christian school, where he not only imparts his knowledge but also directs school musical productions.
Throughout his illustrious career, Michael has had the privilege of sharing the stage with esteemed actors, including John Howard, in Michael Glow's production of "The Incorruptible" in 1996. His most recent acting venture was in 2011, when he appeared as Alan in Off the Leash Theatre's adaptation of Yasmina Reza's "God of Carnage."
