Michael Wiseman is a talented actor, born on April 12, 1967, in Lafayette, California. His mother, a dedicated educator, taught at their local elementary school for 35 years, while his grandfather owned a beloved local restaurant. From a young age, Michael was drawn to the world of acting, even listing it as his goal in his Jr. high school yearbook.
After graduating high school, Michael made the bold decision to move south to pursue his dream. He began his rigorous training in the arts, studying dance, singing, stage design, lighting, and acting in college. He then attended the prestigious Robert F Lyons Acting Academy in Los Angeles, where he honed his skills in Scene Study, Cold Reading, and Improvisation. Michael's dedication to his craft led him to perform at several Los Angeles theaters while continuing to study under Robert F.
Michael's first job in Los Angeles was working for Joel Silver at Silver Pictures on the Warner Bros lot, where he gained valuable connections and insights into the industry. This opportunity led him to meet director Stephen Hopkins, who gave him a role in the movie Predator 2 (1990),earning him his SAG card and setting him on his path.
Michael's acting career began to take shape with his first TV role on Cheers (1982),followed by parts in Judgment Night (1993),Melrose Place (1992),Renegade, and Walker, Texas Ranger (1993). His breakthrough came when he was cast for a 3-episode arc in NYPD Blue (1993),playing Tommy Richardson.
He went on to land a stream of guest star and recurring roles in popular shows, including Diagnosis Murder (1993),Nash Bridges, The Pretender (1996),JAG (1995),Star Trek: Voyager (1995),The X-Files (1993),Judging Amy (1999),CSI: Miami (2002),Cold Case (2003),The Closer (2005),Nip/Tuck (2003),Prison Break (2005),The Mentalist (2008),and Lie to Me (2009),as well as supporting roles in feature films like Rancid (2004) and The Wicker Man (2006).
After a brief hiatus, Michael landed the role of Johnny Rizzo, a suave but hotheaded Chicago mobster, on the TV series Vegas (2012). Since then, he has continued to act in shows like NCIS (2003) and Scorpion (2014),as well as feature films like Running Wild (2017),Pray for Rain (2017),and In Search of Fellini (2017).
In his free time, Michael enjoys skiing, golf, spending time with his family, and practicing yoga whenever possible. He has been married to actress and Emmy-nominated makeup artist Caroline Keenan-Wiseman since 2001, and they have two children together.
