Mike Kimmel is a seasoned actor, public speaker, playwright, teacher, and audition coach with over two decades of experience as a member of SAG-AFTRA, having worked extensively in both the New York and Los Angeles markets.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Townsend, Craig Shapiro, and Christopher Cain, among many others.
With a vast array of TV credits to his name, including Game of Silence, Zoo, Treme, In Plain Sight, Cold Case, Breakout Kings, Memphis Beat, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mike has also had the opportunity to be a regular sketch comedy player on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for an impressive eleven years.
As a seasoned stage performer, Mike has graced the Broadway and Off-Broadway stages, and has received training from esteemed instructors such as Michael Shurtleff, William Hickey, Ralph Marrero, Gloria Maddox, Harold Sylvester, Wendy Davis, Amy Hunter, Bob Collier, and Stuart Robinson.
Mike's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University and a Master of Arts degree from California State University at Dominguez Hills.
Throughout his career, Mike has shared his expertise with students at various institutions, including Upper Iowa University, University of New Orleans, University of Phoenix, Glendale Community College, Nunez Community College, Delgado Community College, and the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Burbank, California public schools.
In addition to his teaching endeavors, Mike has also served as a two-time past president of New Orleans Toastmasters, the public speaking organization, and frequently serves as a speech contest judge.
Mike's achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Excellence in Teaching Award from Upper Iowa University in 2014.
Furthermore, he is the author of several books for actors of all ages, including Scenes for Teens, Monologues for Teens, Acting Scenes for Kids and Tweens, Monologues for Kids and Tweens, Monologues for Adults, and four additional titles.
