Mike Rad's life journey began in Brick, New Jersey, where he spent his formative years before embarking on a path that would take him to the sun-kissed shores of Hawaii.
His academic foundation was laid at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, setting the stage for a future filled with adventure and creative pursuits.
As his passion for surfing grew, Mike set his sights on the waves of the world, traveling extensively in search of the perfect ride. His odyssey took him to the picturesque islands of Fiji, where he may have finally found the ultimate surfing experience.
Before turning his attention to the world of entertainment, Mike honed his acting skills in the city that never sleeps – New York City – under the guidance of renowned acting coach Utah Hagen.
The allure of the West Coast soon drew him to Los Angeles, where he immersed himself in the world of comedy, performing with esteemed improv groups such as The Groundlings, UCB, and Second City.
As his comedic chops continued to evolve, Mike turned his attention to scene study, working with a multitude of teachers and coaches before discovering Warner Laughlin Studios, which would become his creative haven.
Throughout his career, Mike has made a name for himself in the world of advertising, appearing in over 100 national commercials. He has also established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the realms of film and television, with a diverse array of credits to his name.
Today, Mike continues to pursue his lifelong passions for acting, writing, and directing, while also exploring the world of independent filmmaking, bringing his unique perspective and creative vision to the screen.
