Brother-in-law of renowned professional wrestler Barry Windham, with whom he formed a formidable tag team partnership in the WWF, ultimately winning the prestigious Tag Team Titles on two separate occasions. Their first title reign was secured by defeating the formidable duo of Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis, followed by a second victory over Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik. However, their title reign was eventually brought to an end by Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine.
Subsequently, Rotunda went on to win the NWA Television Title from the formidable Nikita Koloff, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and accomplished wrestler. He was also a key member of the Varsity Club, a prestigious faction within the NWA that comprised a talented group of wrestlers, including Kevin Sullivan, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, and "Dangerous" Dan Spivey.
Rotunda's impressive wrestling career continued as he teamed up with Steve Williams to win the NWA Tag Team Title, defeating the highly respected Road Warriors. However, their title reign was unfortunately cut short due to their involvement in a highly controversial incident, in which they attacked the special guest referee, Nikita Koloff.
As his career progressed, Rotunda adopted various personas, including "Captain" Mike Rotunda and Michael Wall Street, the latter of which was managed by the charismatic Alexandra York (Terri Runnels). He eventually made a triumphant return to the WWF, rebranding himself as Irwin R. Schyster (I.R.S.),and engaging in memorable feuds with notable wrestlers such as Razor Ramon, The Undertaker, and Tatanka.
In addition to his impressive solo career, Rotunda also teamed up with the cunning Ted DiBiase to form the Money Inc. tag team, with whom he won the WWF Tag Team Titles on three occasions. Later in his career, he made a brief return to WCW, where he briefly joined the New World Order, adopting the persona of V.K. Wall Street, a tongue-in-cheek nod to WWF Owner Vince McMahon's initials, V.K. for Vincent Kennedy McMahon.
