Milo Cawthorne, a talented individual from Whangarei, New Zealand, began nurturing his passion for acting at a young age by participating in various productions within his local community theatre. As his talents continued to flourish, he started landing roles in children's television shows, including the popular "P.E.T. Detectives" series, where he played the character of Evan in 2003.
Despite his early success, Cawthorne's aspirations took him beyond the confines of his hometown. He went on to perform as part of the esteemed Young Shakespeare Company at the renowned Globe Theatre in London, further solidifying his stage presence.
After an unsuccessful attempt to enroll in drama school and a stint as a pizza delivery boy, Cawthorne's big break came when he landed the role of bumbling ex-cartel member Ziggy Grover, Ranger Operator Series Green, on the popular television show "Power Rangers RPM" in 2009. This exposure catapulted him to a wider audience, allowing him to return to the stage and participate in various theatre productions, including "The History Boys" with the Peach Theatre Company and "360" for the New Zealand International Arts Festival.
In addition to his stage work, Cawthorne also appeared in an episode of the miniseries "Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud" in 2011.
In late 2011, Cawthorne made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, California, to pursue his dream of working in the film industry. His first major project was the independent horror feature "Blood Punch," which premiered at the 20th annual Austin Film Festival in October 2013 and won the Audience Award in the Dark Matters horror/thriller category.
Throughout his career, Cawthorne has also appeared in several short films, including "Andy" (2011),"Mae and Ash" (2012),and "I Love L.A." (2013).
After spending time in Los Angeles, Cawthorne returned to New Zealand and reprised his role as Young Gee in "360: A Theatre of Recollections" in 2014. He is set to appear in a leading role in the New Zealand-produced television miniseries "When We Go To War" and the Auckland Theatre Company production of "Once On Chunuk Bair" later in 2014.
