Mirelly Taylor is a talented actress who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She is currently recurring on the Apple TV series "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" and has also appeared on the STARZ series "Power: Force" and the CBS show "Seal Team".
Before that, she starred in the CBS ALL ACCESS series "Interrogation" alongside Peter Sarsgaard. However, she is perhaps best known for her role as Isabella Alpert, the wife of Nestor Carbonell's character, in the final season of the ABC series "Lost".
Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, to two medical students, Mirelly was exposed to the arts from a young age. By the time she was five, she was already taking karate, ballet, tap, and gymnastics classes. When her parents' medical school program was completed, the family moved to Dallas, Texas, where Mirelly began studying acting.
As a high school student, she was heavily involved in the school's choir and theater programs and graduated with high honors. Her academic achievements earned her a spot at Southern Methodist University (SMU),where she majored in cinema and minored in psychology and Spanish.
After college, Mirelly was cast in the STARZ series "Crash", a spin-off of the Oscar-winning film of the same name. The show was created by Glenn Mazzara and Paul Haggis and marked Mirelly's first major television role.
Mirelly's talent and dedication did not go unnoticed, and she was soon accepted into the prestigious Actor's Studio, where she studied under the guidance of renowned teacher Alan Miller. Miller has coached many notable actors, including Barbra Streisand, Meryl Streep, Dustin Hoffman, and Al Pacino.
