Molly C. Quinn, the talented actress, can be seen starring in the upcoming indie horror/drama feature Agnes (2021),set to debut in movie theaters nationwide and streaming on demand on December 10, 2021. Agnes (2021) has been making waves at film festivals, premiering at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival to rave reviews. Directed and written by Mickey Reece, Agnes (2021) tells the chilling story of demonic possessions at a religious convent, prompting a church investigation into the strange occurrences among its nuns. A disaffected priest and his neophyte are faced with temptation, bloodshed, and a crisis of faith.
Aside from her starring role, Molly also serves as executive producer, bringing the project to life through her production company, QWGmire. This is not the first time Molly has ventured into producing, having started her career with the cult classic horror comedy Hansel & Gretel Get Baked (2013),in which she also starred. She then executive produced the independent feature Welcome to Happiness (2015),which won best picture at the deadCenter Film Festival.
Molly is perhaps best known for her role as Alexis Castle from 2009 to 2016 on ABC's award-winning drama series Castle (2009),opposite Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic. In film, she has recently appeared in Warner Bros' Doctor Sleep (2019) alongside Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson. She has also lent her voice to various projects, including Supergirl (in Superman: Unbound (2013)) for Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics, the voice of Bloom for Nickelodeon's hit series Winx Club (2004),and voicing the lead character in Simon and Schuster's YA series "The Mortal Instruments".
When Molly is not in front of the camera, she is focusing on her burgeoning producing career. In 2019, she launched the production company shingle QWGmire with Elan Gale and Matthew M. Welty, with a focus on genre films. Additional projects in the works include indie drama Diary of a Spy (2022) directed by Adam Christian Clark and starring Tamara Taylor (Bones (2005)) and Reece Noi (When They See Us (2019)). Diary of a Spy (2022) centers on an alcoholic intelligence officer (Taylor) who is given the chance for one last mission: seducing an asset (Noi) connected to the Saudi Royal Family.
Most recently announced is Lovely, Dark, and Deep (2023),which Molly wrapped production on in Portugal. The film stars Georgina Campbell (Apple TV+'s upcoming Suspicion (2022)),Nick Blood (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013)),and Wai Ching Ho (STXfilms's Hustlers (2019)). Molly resides in the LA area with her two dogs, Piper and Pikachu.
