Muzz Khan is a talented and versatile actor who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his quirky, uncensored, and idiosyncratic performances. Born in Burnley and raised in Nelson, Lancashire, Khan's passion for the arts developed at a young age, particularly in house music, which he loved by the age of eight. His interest in acting grew during his high school years when the BBC filmed an episode of "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates" at his school, and he volunteered to be an extra, eventually landing a small scene.
Khan's first paid acting gig was in Miramax's "East is East," featuring Archie Panjabi from "The Good Wife," before he even started drama school at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in South Kensington, London, where he trained alongside notable peers such as Natalie Dormer, Rupert Friend, Elyes Gabel, and Tom Mison, graduating in 2004.
Khan's extensive television credits include roles in "24: Live Another Day," "Black Mirror: White Christmas," "Catastrophe," "The Suspicions of Mr Whicher," "Bradford Riots," and "No Angels." He has also appeared in films such as "Happy Toys," "The Hatching," "Four Lions," and "East is East." In addition to acting, Khan has worked in theater, performing with Kim Cattrall in "Antony and Cleopatra," and in the Scott Rudin produced "Behind The Beautiful Forevers" at the National Theatre in England, as well as at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
As a successful DJ in London since 2007, Khan made his debut at the renowned Pacha nightclub and became a resident for two years, performing across Europe at venues including Ministry of Sound, O2 Academy, Proud Camden, and numerous festivals, sharing the stage with artists such as 2ManyDJs, Erick Morillo, Fedde Le Grand, MK, Armin Van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Basement Jaxx, Chris Lake, and many others.
Khan's latest project is co-starring on ABC's musical comedy "Galavant" as Barry, the belligerent and bewildered assistant to Wormwood, set to premiere in January 2016. He will also make his US feature debut in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's and New Line Cinema's "Me Before You" as Syed, set to be released on June 3, 2016.
