Nancy Hower, a talented individual, was born on May 11, 1966, in New Jersey, where she spent her formative years. Her first foray onto the stage occurred during her senior year in high school, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for the performing arts.
Following high school, Nancy pursued her dream by enrolling in the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, where she honed her craft and appeared in numerous regional productions as well as the esteemed Williamstown Theater Festival. Her professional debut took place on Christmas Eve in 1993, when she starred as Andrea in the lead role of "The Years" at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York.
Nancy's most notable role to date is likely her recurring guest appearance as Ensign Samantha Wildman on Star Trek: Voyager, a part she played for five years. In addition to her extensive work in stage, television, and film, Nancy has also ventured into directing, both on stage and screen. In 2003, she directed the unreleased short film The Wizard of Id, and in 2004, she made her feature film directorial debut with Memron, a mockumentary about the Enron scandal.
Memron, which Nancy also wrote, received widespread acclaim and awards at various film festivals in 2004, including the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Slamdance Film Festival. Nancy's most recent project is the improv comedy series 10 Items or Less, which has been picked up by TBS. She is also set to appear in the upcoming film Catch and Release, where she will lend her vocal talents, as well as a small role in the movie.
