Nele Kiper is a multifaceted German actress, born and raised in Hannover, who has made a significant impact in the German entertainment industry through her versatility and range.
As the great-granddaughter of actor and operetta singer Herbert Kiper, Nele Kiper was exposed to the world of art and performance from a young age. She began engaging with theater through children's and youth theater groups, and after completing her Abitur at the Schillerschule Hannover, she pursued studies in linguistics and comparative literature at Ruhr University Bochum.
Kiper's professional acting career began in theater, where she was a permanent ensemble member at Theater Narrenschiff in Unna from 2003 to 2006 and performed at other regional theaters. She then transitioned to screen, initially working behind the scenes on student films before landing her first leading role in the RTL sketch comedy Geile Zeit (2007-2008),which was nominated for an International Emmy Award.

Kiper is married to director Peter Thorwarth, with whom she shares a child. Beyond acting, she supports charitable causes, including a patronage for SOS-Kinderdorf in Düsseldorf and Essen.
