Linnethia Monique "NeNe" Johnson, a multifaceted personality, was born on December 13, 1966, in the vibrant city of Queens, New York, but spent her formative years in Athens, Georgia.
This talented individual rose to fame as an original cast member on the popular reality television series, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which premiered in 2008. Her impressive range was further showcased through her recurring role as Roz Washington on the critically acclaimed Fox comedy-drama series, Glee, which debuted in 2009.
NeNe's impressive television credits also include her stint as a series regular on the NBC sitcom, The New Normal, where she played the character Rocky Rhoades from 2012 to 2013. Prior to this, she had made appearances on NBC's The Apprentice in 2004 and ABC's Dancing with the Stars in 2005.
In addition to her television work, NeNe has also made her mark on the stage. She made her Broadway debut in 2014 as Madame in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, and went on to star as Matron "Mama" Morton in the hit musical Chicago in 2015.
