The renowned actress, born to esteemed actors Cyril Cusack and Maureen Cusack, was raised in the picturesque seaside village of Dalkey, situated south of Dublin, Ireland, alongside her two brothers and two sisters.
With a multifaceted career spanning various mediums, she has garnered recognition for her roles in notable films such as "Hereafter" (2010),"In Love with Alma Cogan" (2012),and "Paris by Night" (1988).
Prior to embarking on her acting journey, she was awarded a scholarship to the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, where she honed her skills on the flute and performed professionally with the esteemed RTÉ Concert Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra in Ireland.
At the tender age of 23, she joined the renowned Royal Shakespeare Company, marking the beginning of her illustrious acting career. Her breakout role came when she was cast as Dr. Kate Rowan in the popular television series "Heartbeat" (1992),a part she played until 1995.
