Nicholas Asbury, a talented individual with a diverse range of accomplishments, took home the prestigious Olivier Award in 2009 as part of the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company. He then went on to star as the lead character, 'Jim', in the critically acclaimed and triple BAFTA Award-winning BBC comedy series 'Alma's Not Normal'.
Asbury has made numerous guest appearances on popular television shows, including 'The Inbetweeners', 'Chewing Gum', and 'Sherlock', showcasing his versatility as an actor. One of his most notable roles was as a younger Winston Churchill in the BBC's historical drama '37 Days', and he also played the eccentric character Mr. Angel in Hugh Laurie's 'Why Didn't They Ask Evans?', alongside Will Poulter and Lucy Boynton.
In addition to his acting career, Asbury is a published author, having written two books, and has won the Michael Meyer Award for his writing. He has also composed music for various theatre productions and has played the piano in every 5-star hotel in London, although he found this task to be quite dull. In contrast, playing guitar for various bands was a much more exhilarating experience for him.
Asbury's adventurous spirit has led him to try his hand at various unusual activities, including blowing fire on 5ft stilts, juggling a chainsaw, and being hanged 10 metres above the stage - all in the name of entertainment.
