Georgiade, a Greek-American individual, made the bold decision to discontinue his academic pursuits in 1948, opting instead to enlist in the United States Army by falsely representing his age. Prior to joining the military, Georgiade had demonstrated a passion for boxing during his high school years, and this interest continued to flourish throughout his time in the service.
In 1952, Georgiade achieved a remarkable feat by winning the European Heavyweight title while serving with the U.S. Army. Following his departure from the military, Georgiade returned to New York City, where he secured an athletic scholarship to attend Syracuse University. However, due to his lack of high school graduation, Georgiade was required to pass an entrance exam to gain admission to the esteemed institution.
Georgiade's academic pursuits at Syracuse University focused on the disciplines of sociology and psychology. During his senior year, he met and married his fellow student, Anita Khanzadian, who would later become known as Anita Raffi. Georgiade successfully completed his undergraduate degree in 1957.
One of Georgiade's most notable roles was his portrayal of Enrico Rossi, the efficient and stoic right-hand man of Eliot Ness, on the popular television series The Untouchables in 1959. This role likely remains one of Georgiade's most iconic and enduring performances throughout his acting career.
