Nick Hexum, a celebrated musician, was born in the charming city of Madison, Wisconsin, and later attended Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska, where he spent formative years that would later shape his remarkable musical journey.
In the latter half of the 1980s, Hexum made the bold decision to leave his hometown of Omaha behind and relocate to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, driven by an unrelenting passion for a career in music.
However, fate had other plans, and after a brief but significant stint in LA, Hexum found himself drawn back to the familiar surroundings of his childhood home, Omaha, a mere few years later.
It was during this period of personal and professional introspection that Hexum's close friend and future bandmate, Chad Sexton, played a pivotal role in persuading him to rekindle his musical aspirations and join forces with other like-minded individuals, Aaron Wills and Jim Watson, to form a band.
This serendipitous convergence of creative energies would eventually give rise to the iconic band 311, marking the beginning of a remarkable musical odyssey for Hexum and his bandmates, one that would span decades and captivate the hearts of fans worldwide.
