Krause's early life was marked by his birth in Austin, Texas, and his subsequent upbringing in Georgetown, where he showcased his impressive intellectual and athletic abilities from a young age. At just 10 years old, he enrolled in college, demonstrating his academic prowess and curiosity. Later, he attended the charter school, NYOS, to surround himself with peers of similar age and background.
Krause's interest in acting was sparked during an improv comedy workshop at the age of 10, which led him to pursue opportunities on film sets near his home in Austin. This marked the beginning of his journey as an actor.
In addition to his acting endeavors, Krause is a skilled guitarist and takes great pride in his ability to play a two-hour Frank Zappa tribute set with members of The Mothers of Invention. He has also been a member of the prestigious Paul Green School of Rock, where he performed at prominent music events like SXSW and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. As a member of the SOR All-Stars, a nationally touring group of talented young musicians, Krause represented the school and promoted its mission.
Krause's passion for science and technology is evident in his co-founding and direction of the science club, TACOS (Totally Awesome and Cool Organization of Science),which grew from a small group of 10 students with no funding to a top competitor at the state level of Science Olympiad in just three years.
Krause's personal heroes include the renowned physicist Albert Einstein, and he cannot imagine life without his guitar. His other interests include computers and politics. Today, he resides in Los Angeles with his feline companion.
