Nizhalgal Ravi, a multifaceted Indian film and television actor, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry through his performances in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu films, web series, and television serials.
Born as Ravichandran to R. Samanna and T. Rajammal, he hails from an orthodox family. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from P.S.G. Arts College in Coimbatore.
Ravi's acting career commenced in 1980 with the Tamil film Nizhalgal, under the guidance of veteran director Bharathiraja, earning him the nickname Nizhalgal Ravi. He has since acted in over 500 films, with the count still growing.
On a personal note, Ravi has been married to Vishnupriya Raviee since February 7, 1988, and they have one child together. He is the youngest among his siblings, with five brothers and three sisters.
In addition to his acting career, Ravi has also lent his voice to dub for renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan in the Tamil versions of the program Kaun Banega Crorepati and the film Thugs of Hindostan.
