Omar Maskati, a talented actor from Edison, New Jersey, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances on both stage and screen.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with an engineering degree, Maskati's parents, though initially uncertain about his career choice, are now beaming with pride at their son's accomplishments.
He began his professional journey Off-Broadway, starring in the Pulitzer-prize winning play "Disgraced," and has since appeared in numerous roles across various mediums. His brother, writer/rapper Kahlil "K-Swish" Maskati, wrote the pilot, and Omar also served as a producer. The pilot received widespread recognition, screening at prominent festivals such as SXSW and the LA Film Festival, and earning awards at each.
In 2021, Maskati won the Best Actor award at MISAFF for his remarkable portrayal of twin brothers in Jaraad Virani's feature film "Sand & Snow." His latest role is that of Dr. Isan Shah on CBS' new medical drama "Good Sam."
