Park was born on December 16, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea, as the eldest of three brothers. Following his high school graduation from An-Nam High School, he pursued higher education at Seoul Institute of the Arts, ultimately deciding to enlist for mandatory military service in 2008.
Prior to his entertainment debut, Park made a cameo appearance in the music video for Bang Yong-Guk's single "I Remember" in 2011. This marked the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry. He then went on to appear in several television dramas, including Dream High 2 (2012),Pots of Gold (2013),and Witch's Romance (2014).
In addition to his acting endeavors, Park also held the position of host on Music Bank from October 2013 to April 2015. This stint further solidified his presence in the Korean entertainment scene.
However, it was his male lead role in the television series She Was Pretty in 2015 that catapulted him to stardom. This breakout performance showcased his acting prowess and cemented his status as a rising star in the industry.
