Patrick Harpin, a multi-talented individual, was born in Bangor, Maine, USA. He is a writer, director, and actor, recognized for his work on 'My Dad the Bounty Hunter' (2023),'Moonrise Kingdom' (2012),the 'Hotel Transylvania' film series, and the 'Batman Beyond' Animated Film Pitch.
Patrick's educational background includes attending California Institute of the Arts, where he discovered his passion for Storyboarding. This unique combination of drawing, writing, directing, cinematography, and acting skills was fostered during his time at the prestigious institution.
During his studies, Patrick had the opportunity to be trained at Pixar Animation under their Story Apprenticeship program, as well as the Blue Sky Studios Story apprenticeship program.
After graduating, Patrick honed his skills in the studio system, working on various animated features, such as 'Ice Age 4', 'Hotel Transylvania 2 & 3', and live-action projects. He had the privilege of working closely with renowned director Wes Anderson in NYC, storyboarding a significant portion of Anderson's film 'Moonrise Kingdom'.
In addition to his work on 'Moonrise Kingdom', Patrick also served as a Storyboard artist/Film Editor on Mike Judge's 'Tales from the Tour Bus' for HBO, although his contribution remained uncredited.
In 2019, Patrick pitched 'My Dad the Bounty Hunter' to Netflix as Co-Creator/Showrunner. He went on to showrun both seasons, which received multiple Emmy and Annie award nominations, including nods for Patrick in Writing and Directing. Moreover, Patrick voiced one of the show's main characters, "Blobby".
Since then, Patrick has been developing feature and TV projects for various studios under his production company banner, "Rough & Tumble Productions".
