Patrik Pass is a renowned Slovak film editor, professor of film editing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia, and one of the founders of the Slovak Audiovisual Fund.
He pursued his studies in film editing at the prestigious Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Following the completion of his studies, he embarked on a successful career at Czechoslovak Television, where he honed his craft by editing numerous audiovisual projects.
Throughout his illustrious career, Patrik has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned directors, including the celebrated Juraj Jakubisko. Some of his most notable works include The Millenial Bee (1983),The Feather Fairy (1985),Sitting on a Branch, Enjoying Myself (1989),and Bathory (2004).
In 1983, Patrik took on a new challenge by founding the Department of Editing and Sound Composition Studio at the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava, Slovakia.
In 1996, he established his own film and TV production company, Trigon Production, which has since become a leading player in the Slovak audiovisual industry. Over its 19-year history, the company has created over 50,000 job opportunities and has provided a wide range of services, including scriptwriting, dramaturgy, graphic design, and production.
The company's productions have garnered widespread acclaim, earning 103 awards and numerous nominations for prestigious awards. Some of its most notable accolades include the International Emmy Award (2002),Christopher Award (2006),Czech Lion (2008, 2009, and 2012),and two national nominations for the Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Film.
Patrik is an active member of the Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) and serves as the vice-chairman of the Slovak Audiovisual Producers Association (SAPA).
