Paul's journey began in the quaint village of Henryville, Quebec, where he resided until the age of twelve, when his family relocated to Victoria, British Columbia. It was during his high school years in Victoria that he first caught the acting bug.
Following his passion, Paul pursued acting at The University of Victoria, subsequently attending the esteemed National Theater School (NTS) in Montreal. Upon graduating from NTS, Paul's career took off, oscillating between the realms of theatre and film/tv.
As a versatile actor, Paul has made guest appearances on various episodic series and miniseries, and has secured notable supporting roles in feature films. Some of his most memorable roles include a supporting part in HUSTLE: THE PETE ROSE STORY, where he shared the screen with Tom Sizemore and was directed by the legendary Peter Bogdanovich; a supporting role in SEAWOLF, alongside Tim Roth. He recently landed a recurring role on the new Netflix/Discovery series FRONTIER, starring Jason Momoa, portraying the entrepreneurial Voyageur Jean-Marc Rivard.
Throughout his career, Paul has performed at top theatres across the country, including the prestigious Stratford Festival. He is a five-time Dora nominee (Toronto's theatre awards) and has taken on a variety of roles, including Ansel in KILLER JOE (Coalmine Theatre),Lee in TRUE WEST (Bluebridge Theatre),and Lucius in TITUS ANDRONICUS (Stratford Shakespeare Festival),to name a few.
Continuing to juggle his work between film, T.V., theatre, and voice work, Paul resides in Toronto with his wife Camille and their two children, Hanlon and Illia.
