Peggy grew up outside Philadelphia, where her father, a business executive, and her mother, a dedicated volunteer, instilled in her a love of travel, sailing, and animals. This early exposure to the world beyond her hometown fostered a sense of curiosity and wonder, which would shape her future endeavors.
During her junior year at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France, Peggy immersed herself in the study of art, philosophy, and French dramatic literature. This academic experience was supplemented by extensive travel throughout Europe, allowing her to broaden her cultural horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world and its diverse societies.
Peggy's travels have taken her to all corners of the globe, with visits to over five continents and forty countries. Her journeys have been marked by encounters with diverse wildlife, including animals in their natural habitats. Her passion for wildlife photography has led her to capture stunning images, which she continues to enjoy taking to this day.
In Zimbabwe, Peggy was introduced to a local village school through her guide, and she has since supported the education of several children in this remote area. This experience has not only enriched her life but also deepened her appreciation for the importance of education in breaking cycles of poverty.
Peggy's professional credits are numerous and varied. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from Ithaca College, as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Her early career was marked by leading roles in regional theaters, including two years as a company member at the Guthrie Theatre.
Peggy's performances have taken her to both the National Theatre of the Deaf and the National Theatre of the Deaf's touring productions. She was nominated for a Henry Award for her performance of Silda in Other Desert Cities at Theatre Aspen and has performed on and off Broadway. Today, she enjoys an active career in theatre, television, and film in New York City.
Peggy makes her home on the upper west side of Manhattan and in Garrison, New York, where she continues to pursue her passions for theatre, travel, and wildlife conservation.
