Peter Aylward is widely recognized for his outstanding performances in a diverse range of films, including The Untouchables, released in 1987, Lonely Hearts, which premiered in 2006, My Blind Brother, a critically acclaimed film that debuted in 2016, and Nothing is Impossible, his most recent cinematic endeavor, which hit the big screens in 2022.
Prior to his successful career in film, Aylward honed his craft through his participation in the esteemed Penn State MFA Acting Program.
Throughout his illustrious theatre career, Aylward has showcased his remarkable talent in a multitude of productions, including several Off-Broadway performances, such as his portrayal of King Lear/Albany in King Lear at the Union Square Theatre.
In addition to his Off-Broadway credits, Aylward has also appeared in numerous regional productions, including the Guthrie Theatre, the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, the Indiana Repertory Theatre, the Cleveland Playhouse, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, the Kennedy Center, Northlight Theatre, Dobama Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Delaware Theatre Company, New American Theatre, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
