Peter Donald Badalamenti II was born on December 11, 1973, in Sarasota, Florida. Before pursuing a career in acting, he spent several years studying under the guidance of Kathy Laughlin.
Badalamenti's breakthrough role came in 2000 when he played Fionn MacCumhail in Cremaster 3, which was released in 2002. He then appeared in the notable film Bad Boys II in 2003.
After gaining experience in independent films, Badalamenti landed a significant role in Dr. Moreau's House of Pain in 2004. His performance in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, specifically in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007),showcased his ability to play a key character, Penrod, on Davy Jones's Flying Dutchman crew.
The Flying Dutchman crew's contribution to the film's visual effects earned them an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects. In 2008, Badalamenti starred alongside Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, playing the role of Benjamin from 1929 to 1931. The film's innovative visual effects also received the Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects.
In 2011, Badalamenti made his television debut in the popular show 30 Rock, followed by his appearance in The Sitter. He continued to push the boundaries of his acting abilities with his performance in River of Fundament in 2014.
In 2015, Badalamenti had the opportunity to share the role of Master Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which was released in 2016.
