Peter Thomas, the son of a Welsh minister and an English school teacher, was raised in an environment that fostered strong communication, projection, and enunciation skills. Growing up, he would often read stories aloud to his family, a habit he preferred.
Dedication and a passion for radio led to Peter's first job at the tender age of 13, when he landed a role in a drama. After completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and was part of the 28 replacements sent to Omaha Beach the day after D-Day.
Peter proudly served his country in World War 2 with the First Infantry Division in Europe, an experience that profoundly impacted his life and gave him a deeper appreciation for American soldiers, his country, and the value of freedom.
Following his military service, Peter returned to radio and pursued higher education as an adult through the American GI Bill. He also married his high school sweetheart, Stella Thomas. Later, he left college to join CBS television in New York, where he spent 13 years before deciding to dedicate himself full-time to freelance narration and documentary work in the United States.
Throughout his life, Peter has been committed to giving back to his community through charitable work alongside his wife Stella. He has been devoted to veterans' causes, serving as a board member for the National D-Day Memorial Foundation, contributing to the MIA Society and the Veterans Council, and organizing the 50th Anniversary Veterans of the Naples Parade.
