Peter Wragg, a renowned individual, was born on December 13, 1946, in Slough, Buckinghamshire. Growing up, he developed a fascination with model-making, a hobby that would later influence his professional endeavors. However, instead of pursuing his passion, Wragg left school to embark on a career in the banking industry.
Fate had other plans, as his father's business secured a contract with AP Films, a production company led by the illustrious Gerry Anderson, creator of iconic puppet shows. Wragg began his journey with AP Films as a humble gofer, gradually ascending to the role of production and effects designer on several of Anderson's popular television series.
As his skills and expertise grew, Wragg made the transition to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC),where he contributed to the development of numerous shows. Notably, he made a brief appearance as an extraterrestrial in an episode of the beloved sci-fi series "Doctor Who." Wragg also lent his creative talents to the hit comedy "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" and, perhaps most significantly, served as the designer of the cult classic "Red Dwarf."
After dedicating nearly four decades to his craft, Wragg retired in the year 2000, leaving behind a legacy of innovative and imaginative work in the world of television production.
