Phill's journey as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry began in 1996 when he took on the role of team captain on BBC2's popular music quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a position he held for an impressive 19 years.
In addition to his television appearances, Phill has made a name for himself as a talented performer in the world of live poetry and stand-up comedy, entertaining audiences across the UK with his unique style.
He has also become a regular guest on several popular TV shows, including QI (BBC2) and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave),and in 2012, he returned to television stand-up with a memorable appearance on Live at the Apollo (BBC1).
As an accomplished actor, Phill has had the opportunity to showcase his talents on stage, starring as Baron Bomburst / Lord Scrumptious in the UK and Ireland tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang alongside Jason Manford, which has recently concluded.
He has also had the privilege of playing Bottom in the Bath Theatre Royal production of A Midsummer Night's Dream last August, as well as taking on roles in various other stage productions, including The Producers, Urinetown: The Musical, Hairspray, Spamalot, Big Society, and Waiting for Alice.
Currently, Phill is on tour with his latest show, having completed a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
