Picardy Jean-Pierre was born on February 27, 1984, in Montreal, Canada, to Haitian immigrant parents. He spent an equal amount of his student life between Montreal, Boston, and New York, being exposed to different cultures and environments.
As a talented and award-winning professional soccer player, he had the opportunity to travel across countries, which allowed him to develop a unique perspective on life.
Picardy's introduction to the movie industry began in 2013 on the set of Brick Mansion, where he worked alongside the late Paul Walker, RZA, and David Belle as a background actor. He fell in love with the experience and went on to appear in numerous movies and TV-series, both in French and English, filming in Canada, the United States, and international projects.
Since then, he has never looked back, knowing that acting is what he wanted to do. Two years later, he was interned as a recurrent specialized extra on the ABC hit series Quantico, playing the role of a New Agent in Training (NAT) studying to become an FBI agent, where he spent nine months shooting alongside Priyanka Chopra.
That same year, he was cast in his first national commercial for the NBA as a Milwaukee Bucks fan, which has gained over 32,000 views on YouTube. In the summer of 2016, he landed his first role in an Asian feature film, "The Killing House," as Reino, a killer trying to survive alongside his two cast-mates.
Picardy then played the role of an assistant coach and specialized soccer consultant on the CBC series "21 Thunder." The following winter, he shot his second commercial for Bull-E Soccer, playing a soccer player who gets to defy the goalkeeper one-on-one inside a plastic bubble.
As an Actra member and soon-to-be UDA, Picardy is a dedicated and passionate actor who is always ready for a challenge. Throughout his six years in the movie business, he has worked alongside some of Hollywood's A-list actors, including Bruce Willis and Jennifer Lawrence, and collaborated with directors such as Darren Aronofsky, Stephan Kay, Xavier Dolan, and Jennifer Lynch.
