Pierre Spengler began his career in the film industry in 1964 with the film Paris Secret, where he worked as an assistant director, assistant editor, and production assistant on notable films such as The Madwoman of Chaillot starring Katharine Hepburn, LE MANS starring Steve McQueen, and The Light at the Edge of the World starring Kirk Douglas.
He later moved to production responsibilities within the Salkind Organisation, where he was in charge of producing all of their films, including the successful The Three Musketeers, The Four Musketeers, Superman I, Superman II, Superman III, and Santa Claus.
Since 1986, Pierre Spengler has been an independent producer, working on films such as The Return of the Musketeers, Underground, and Unleashed, as well as co-producing over 20 films in the United Kingdom, including REVOLVER and 7 Seconds.
In addition to his work in the UK, Pierre Spengler co-founded the production company Cadenza Films in the Netherlands, which has produced films such as Snapshots, Tirza, and Suskind.
Pierre Spengler has also been involved in the development of films based on the Humanoids graphic novel catalogue, including BOUNCER, LEGION, and a feature film based on The Zombies That Ate the World.
Other projects in development include Sebastian X, which is being scripted by Bill Marsilli and directed by Martin Campbell, and an Untitled Tony Kaye Project, which is being directed by Tony Kaye.
Pierre Spengler is married to Tatjana Sauka Spengler, a scientist, and they have a daughter, Neretva, born in 2008. He is also the father of two children from his previous marriage to Agnes L'Helgoualch, a documentary filmmaker and a veterinarian.
