Quinton Aaron is an accomplished actor, widely recognized for his remarkable portrayal of Michael Oher, also known as Big Mike, in the Academy Award-winning film, The Blind Side (2009). This highly successful movie, which has grossed over $300 million in the United States alone, marked a significant milestone in his career.
Aaron has made numerous guest appearances on popular television shows, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999),where he played the son of renowned singer Jill Scott, NBC's Mercy (2009),and CBS' Harry's Law (2011). He has also had recurring roles on _One Tree Hill_ and _Drop Dead Diva_.
In 2016, Lions Gate released the film 1982 (2013),in which Quinton starred alongside Hill Harper and Wayne Brady. Aaron has three upcoming films scheduled for release in 2016, including Halfway (2016),which premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival and was filmed in Wisconsin from September to November 2014; My First Miracle (2015),shot in New York from February to April 2015; and It's Not My Fault and I Don't Care Anyway (2017),filmed in Canada from June to July 2015. Additionally, he will appear in the feature film Mothers and Daughters (2016),starring Selma Blair, Susan Sarandon, Sharon Stone, and Courteney Cox, which is set to be released on May 6th, 2016.
Quinton has also worked on three period piece films in 2016, including two westerns and a biographical film titled Heart Baby, starring Gbenga Akinnagbe and Jackson Rathbone.
Beyond his acting career, Quinton is dedicated to advocating for the fight against bullying. He founded The Quinton Aaron Foundation, which aims to provide hope, encouragement, confidence, and resources to children who are on the brink of suicide or struggling with the negative effects of bullying on their self-esteem and confidence.
