Raul Colon was born in 1970 in the Bronx, New York, to Puerto Rican parents. At the tender age of six, his life took a significant turn as he became a foster child and was relocated to Watertown, Connecticut, where he was lovingly raised by his foster parents, Mel and Virginia Lee Gabey. Notably, Raul was one of the few children they kept in their care for an extended period. Eventually, Raul, along with his newfound family, made the move to Florida, where he still resides to this day.
As a young boy, Raul developed a passion for acting, which was largely influenced by the shows he watched with his mother. He always dreamed of becoming a cowboy, a profession that would later take a backseat to his numerous other pursuits. Raul's journey in life began at the age of 14, when he started boxing, which ultimately led him to become a bodybuilder and a cagefighter.
In 2012, following a cage match, Raul was approached to perform some stunt work on an independent film, which marked the beginning of his path to pursue his dream of acting. Since then, Raul Colon has made a name for himself in the film industry, appearing in various films, both in the indie market and the mainstream market, as a stunt fighter, stunt coordinator, and actor.
Some of his notable film credits include Pain and Gain, Aztec Warrior, Graceland (stunts),and Paying Mr. McGinty, in which he stunt doubled for Marcus Taylor. Raul has also had the opportunity to work alongside notable actors, such as Dwayne Johnson, in an episode of Ballers. Moreover, he has served as a stunt coordinator for several independent films.
