Ray Chase is renowned for his remarkable versatility as a voice actor in video games, animation, and feature films. He has had the opportunity to play a wide range of protagonists in Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs),starting with his iconic portrayal of Noctis in Final Fantasy XV, released in 2016.
Chase has also brought his cinematic energy to other notable roles, such as Brother Nier in NieR Replicant: ver.1.22474487139... and Alphen in Tales of Arise, both released in 2021. On the other hand, he has played a diverse array of iconic roles, including brave Roy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, evil Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen, the corporate Rhys Strongfork in Borderlands 3, the devious Master of Masters in Kingdom Hearts III, mafioso Bruno Bucciarati in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and the flamboyant Puri Puri Prisoner in One Punch Man.
Before breaking into voice acting, Chase started his career by creating YouTube videos and working on audiobooks, narrating over a hundred of them. He then transitioned into anime, landing small roles before securing his first major break with Noctis in 2016.
Since then, Chase has made numerous appearances in anime and video games, and has started to make inroads into feature films. In 2021, director James Wan chose him to voice the sinister Gabriel in Malignant, a role that showcased his ability to bring dramatic flair to his performances.
In addition to his voice acting work, Chase is also a con fixture, making appearances all over the world. He co-hosts the show "Loud, Annoying, and Very Annoying" (LAVA) with fellow voice actors Robbie Daymond and Max Mittelman, which they stream weekly on Twitch.
