Reggie Nalder, born Alfred Reginald Natzick, was a mysterious figure with a unique place in the history of cinema. His birth year was disputed, with his obituary claiming 1922, but photographic evidence suggested it was earlier. Little is known about his early years, except that his mother was a German actress and Nalder himself was an Apachedancer and stage actor in the 1920s and 1930s.
