Reggie Watkins, a talented individual, was born and raised in San Jose, California, where his passion for acting began to flourish. He even had the opportunity to perform in the Kids Skits Theater Company in Denver, Colorado, which laid a solid foundation for his future endeavors.
Reggie's early life took an unexpected turn when he suffered a torn ACL, forcing him to abandon his collegiate football career as a wide receiver at the tender age of 21. This setback, however, did not deter him from pursuing his true calling. He made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles and dedicate himself fully to the world of acting.
Reggie's first foray into the "Hollywood" scene was as a doorman at The World Famous Comedy Store, where he honed his skills by performing stand-up comedy alongside renowned comedians such as Dave Chappelle and Dane Cook. His early television credits include appearances on the ABC Family series "Lincoln Heights" alongside the late Chadwick Boseman and a commercial for Bud Light.
Since then, Reggie has amassed an impressive portfolio of high-profile projects, including recurring roles on Amazon's critically acclaimed series "Bosch," NBC's smash hit "This Is Us," and a guest starring role on ABC's "The Rookie." Furthermore, Reggie will be making his video game debut as Sgt. Lawrence Sims in Activision's latest blockbuster, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, on November 13th, 2020.
In addition to his acting career, Reggie has also ventured into the world of podcasting, hosting his own sports podcast "Talkin Sports with The Franchise" and currently appearing on the Digital Podcast Network show, "Brothas on Football," where he provides in-depth analysis of the game.
Reggie is also a dedicated social activist, inspired to take action during the civil unrest surrounding the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. He co-founded 'The Valley of Change,' a non-profit organization located in the San Fernando Valley, which focuses on community outreach and peaceful protests for real, systemic change.
