Rex Maynard Linn is an accomplished American film and television actor, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Frank Tripp in the popular television series CSI: Miami.
Born in Spearman, Texas, Linn is the third child and second son of Darlene (née Deere) and James Paul Linn. His early life was marked by a significant relocation in August 1969, when his parents moved the family to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where his father established a law practice.
Linn's formative years were spent at Heritage Hall and later Casady School, an independent institution affiliated with the Episcopal Church. During this time, he also worked part-time at the Oklahoma City Zoo, gaining valuable experience and insight.
