Rhea Seehorn's artistic journey began at a young age, as she studied painting and drawing under the guidance of her father and grandmother, following in their footsteps. While she continued to nurture her visual arts skills, she also harbored a growing passion for the world of movies and theatre, and secretly longed to become an actor.
However, she was uncertain about how to pursue this profession, and it wasn't until she was introduced to contemporary theatre in college that she discovered acting classes were being offered. Despite her initial hesitation, she eventually signed up for the classes, taking her first steps towards realizing her dream.
Tragedy struck when her father passed away, leaving her with a poignant message: she must do everything she wants to do in this life. Taking his words to heart, Rhea seized the opportunity to pursue her passion for acting, and has never looked back since.
Her impressive filmography includes roles in independent features such as Riders (2001) and Floating (1997),as well as the independent shorts The Pitch (1999),The Gentleman (2000),and A Case Against Karen (1998). On television, she made a notable guest appearance on Homicide: Life on the Street (1993),and will soon be seen in the ABC telefilm Romy and Michele: In the Beginning (2005).
Rhea's extensive theatre credits include the Broadway production of "45 Seconds from Broadway", as well as roles in "The World Over", "All My Sons", "Stop Kiss", "How I Learned to Drive", "Freedomland", and "Marat/Sade".
Having grown up in a diverse array of locations, including Japan, Arizona, Virginia Beach, and Washington, DC, Rhea now calls New York her home.
