Richard Clements is a multi-talented individual hailing from Northern Ireland, renowned for his impressive work in various artistic fields. His notable acting credits include appearances in "The Fall", "Traces", and "The Frankenstein Chronicles".
In addition to his screen work, Richard has a thriving stage career, having performed in productions such as "Jimmy's Hall" and "Let the right one in" at the Abbey Theatre, "Spoiling" at the Traverse, and numerous shows for the Lyric Theatre in Belfast. His one-man show "How to Bury a Dead Mule" premiered at the Lyric in September 2022 and received critical acclaim, earning a nomination for Best New Play at the UK Theatre Awards. The show also made its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023, where it received a nomination for a Fringe Foundation Mental Health Award.
Richard's creative endeavors extend to writing, as he has penned a new one-woman show about the legendary blues singer Ottilie Patterson, which was staged at The Mac Belfast in 2024. Furthermore, he is a skilled composer, having worked on "The Storymakers Project", a collection of stories and poems set to music, all with a focus on the North of Ireland. This project was supported by NI Screen and Belfast Stories, and the resulting album tracks can be viewed on the Northern Ireland Screen Digital Film Archive.
As an accomplished songwriter, Richard has recently released the EP "Solitaire". He is also an established voiceover artist, with a range of credits to his name. When not pursuing his artistic passions, Richard resides in Bangor.
