Rick Copp, a 24-year-old young professional, found himself at the pinnacle of his career just two years after graduating from New York University's esteemed Tisch School of the Arts in 1988. This remarkable feat was made possible when he was selected to join the esteemed staff of writers on the phenomenally popular NBC sitcom, The Golden Girls. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was especially significant for Copp, who hailed from the picturesque town of Bar Harbor, Maine, where he had always dreamed of making a name for himself in the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. His childhood fantasies finally came to fruition shortly after his arrival in the City of Angels, where he would go on to spend the next fifteen years honing his craft as a writer for a diverse array of feature films, television series, and animated shows. Not content to simply pen scripts, Copp also made a name for himself as a talented actor, occasionally appearing in episodes of the very shows he wrote for.
