Rob Dyrdek's relentless pursuit of his childhood dreams led him to become a professional athlete at just 16 years old, propelling him into the world of business before most people had even entered college. Growing up surrounded by entrepreneurs, Dyrdek quickly learned the importance of building strong brands.
At 18 years old, he leveraged this knowledge to create his first company, an experience that would later help him develop and grow his own brands, as well as increase the value of his brand partners. As a professional skateboarder, Dyrdek's influence and entrepreneurial spirit helped turn a rising footwear and apparel brand into a $500 million international company.
He went on to use his expertise to build skate brands, launching the world's first true professional skateboarding league, Street League Skateboarding, and a first-of-its-kind skateboarding channel, ETN. This same approach to brand development led him to co-create and executive produce his first television show, Rob & Big, on MTV.
The success of Rob & Big led to the creation of Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, showcasing his Do-Or-Dier mentality towards entrepreneurship. Dyrdek continued to take calculated risks, beating world records with his physical feats while launching new brands and structuring multi-platform integrated partnerships.
He went on to create more television shows, including Ridiculousness, Mega Life & Crashletes, and The Dude Perfect Show, and launched a new talent competition show, Amazingness. Using his expertise in developing the intersection between business and media, Dyrdek not only invested in new ventures but also helped amplify their brand.
With his extensive knowledge and experience gained over two decades of building his intellectual properties and working with top brands around the world, Dyrdek started developing the groundwork for his full-service venture studio, Dyrdek Machine. His unquenchable desire to live life to the fullest pushed him to develop a strategy for success in life, not unlike the formula he created for his venture studio.
Following his life plan for happiness, balance, and love while still achieving greatness in his career, Dyrdek now enjoys a fulfilling life with his family in Beverly Hills and continues to build his dream as he had envisioned and designed it.
