Robert Lowell "Robin" Moore, Jr. was a celebrated American author, whose remarkable literary career was marked by the creation of numerous captivating works that have left an indelible mark on the world of literature. Among his most notable and enduring literary achievements are the iconic novels that have garnered widespread acclaim and attention, including "The Green Berets", "The French Connection: A True Account of Cops, Narcotics, and International Conspiracy", and "The Happy Hooker: My Own Story", which he co-authored with the enigmatic and charismatic Xaviera Hollander and the talented Yvonne Dunleavy.

Moore's multifaceted artistic pursuits branched out to encompass the realm of music, where he made a significant contribution by co-authoring the lyrics to the immensely popular and iconic song "Ballad of the Green Berets" in the year 1966.
