Born on February 5, 1958, in the vibrant city of Khartoum, Sudan, a cinematography and editing graduate from the Higher Institute of Cinema, he began his illustrious career as an assistant director, working alongside renowned Egyptian directors such as Saad Arafa, Muhammad Khaan, Sherif Arafa, and Raafat al-Meehy on films like "Waad Maktoub" or "Destined", "Al-mouled", "Samaa Hoss" or "Shhhht", "Al-le'b maa al-kobaar" or "Playing with the big guys", and "Ya mahalabeyya ya".
This remarkable journey continued, with his first film as a director, "Al-hobb fel-tallaaga" or "Refrigerated love", released in 1989. Nine years later, he directed the box office record breaker, "Saeedy fel-gamaa al-Amrikeyya" or "Upper-Egyptian in the AUC", starring the talented Muhammad Heneidy. Heneidy also starred in other films directed by Saeed Hamed, including "Hammaam fee Amsterdam" or "Hammaam in Amsterdam" and "Ga'ana al-bayaan al-taaly" or "Breaking news".
Furthermore, he directed two TV series, "Haanem bent pasha" or "Her highness", featuring Hanaan Turk, and "Ekhtefaa Saeed Mahraan" or "Disappearance of Saeed Mahraan", starring Heshaam Seleem.
