Samantha Karen Fox was born on April 15th, 1966, in Mile End, East London, UK, to parents Carole Fox and Patrick Fox, and had a younger sister named Vanessa, who sadly passed away in 2023.
As a teenager, Fox began her career as a nude model for British tabloids, appearing on the iconic "Page 3" section, and by 1983, her breasts were reportedly insured for a staggering $500,000.
Fox's early musical endeavors saw her forming a band called SFX, releasing singles such as "17 and Holding", "My Old Man", and "Aim To Win", although they failed to chart. She returned to modeling, but eventually refocused on music as a solo artist in 1986.
Fox's solo career took off with her debut single "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)", which topped the charts in 15 countries, followed by seven other Top 10 singles, including "Do Ya, Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)", "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now", "Love House", "I Surrender (To The Spirit Of The Night)", "I Only Wanna Be With You", "Let Me Be Free", and "Santa Maria".
In 1995, Fox formed a band called Sox, competing in the Eurovision song contest with the song "Go for the Heart", ultimately finishing in 4th place with 65,436 votes.
Fox also made a notable cameo appearance alongside Indian actor Govinda in the 1995 musical comedy Rock Dancer, which showcased her blonde beauty in a brief stage white costume, featured prominently in lobby cards across India.
As of 2002, Fox ranked #81 on VH1's 100 Sexiest Artists, and in 2003, she made headlines once more by revealing her relationship with her career manager Myra Stratton.
