Samba Schutte, a Dutch-Mauritanian multi-talented individual, was born in the Sahara Desert and spent his formative years in Ethiopia. He has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry, starring in and executive producing HBO Max's "Our Flag Means Death" alongside Taika Waititi in 2022.
Schutte's impressive resume includes starring roles in "Sunnyside" (2019) on NBC, created by Mike Schur, and "The Tiger Hunter" (2016) on Netflix. His writing credits include the acclaimed video game "Battlefield V" (2018) and he has also lent his voice to several award-winning games such as "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" (2019),"Call of Duty: Black Ops 4" (2018),and "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" (2017).
Prior to his success in the United States, Schutte worked as a writer and correspondent for the Dutch version of "The Daily Show" called "De nieuwste show" in 2007. He is fluent in four languages: English, French, Dutch, and Amharic.
Schutte earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from the Utrecht School of the Arts in Holland. He has won numerous awards, including the Jury and Audience Awards at the Leids Cabaret Festival, which is Holland's biggest national comedy competition.
Following his success, Schutte released three comedy specials, "Kun Min Woni An", "Hakili Jambar", and "Je Maintiendrai", which were met with critical acclaim and led to successful tours throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Schutte continues to pursue his passion for stand-up comedy, acting, voice-over work, and motion capture performances.
