Santhanam, a renowned Tamil film actor, initially made his cinematic debut in the 2003 film "Pesatha Kannum Pesume" in a minor role. Following the success of "LolluSabha", he re-entered the Tamil film scene in 2004 with the movie "Manmadhan", starring alongside Silambarasan Rajendar.
Throughout his illustrious career, Santhanam has shared the screen with some of the biggest names in the Tamil film industry, including the likes of Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, Surya Sivakumar, Karthi Sivakumar, Jayam Ravi, Arya, and many others. He has also collaborated with Silambarasan on multiple occasions.
In 2008, Santhanam took on the lead role in "Arai Enn 305-il Kadavul", starring alongside the accomplished actor Prakash Raj. Unlike veteran comedians such as Vadivelu and Vivek, who typically appear in separate comedy tracks, Santhanam has made a name for himself by playing the role of the hero's friend (and sometimes, foil),significantly contributing to the actual story.
Santhanam's exceptional talent was recognized with the Vijay Award for Best Comedian in 2010 for his outstanding performance in "Siva Manasula Sakthi" (2009). He received widespread acclaim for his roles in films directed by M. Rajesh, including "Siva Manasula Sakthi" (2009) and "Boss Engira Baskaran" (2010).
