Sascha Radetsky, a towering figure with a striking presence, has made a significant impact in the world of traditional dance. Born in Santa Cruz, California, Radetsky's journey into ballet began when his older sister took classes and he was captivated by the men in the class performing impressive leaps and jumps. This sparked his interest, and he soon joined the class himself.
By the age of 15, Radetsky was invited to study at the prestigious Moscow's Bolshoi Academy under the renowned male teacher Pyotr Pestov. After a year in Russia, he continued his education on scholarship at the Kirov Academy in Washington, D. C. under the guidance of Rudolph Kharatian and Andrei Garbouz.
Radetsky's impressive training led him to tour with the Kirov Ballet throughout the United States and internationally. He also had the opportunity to study at the summer programs of the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre's School of Classical Ballet with Mikhail Baryshnikov, the San Francisco Ballet School, and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Vail, Colorado.
In 1995, Radetsky joined the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) as an apprentice, and by 1996, he had moved up to the corps. However, his breakout role came in 2000 when he starred as Charlie, a dance student and love interest, in the movie "Center Stage." He reprised his role in pop singer Mandy Moore's music video "I Wanna Be With You" from the Center Stage soundtrack.
Radetsky's hard work and dedication eventually paid off, and he was promoted to soloist in 2003. Throughout his career, he has become a heart-throb and sex symbol, known for his striking good looks and impressive dance skills.
