Savin Yeatman-Eiffel is a multi-talented individual who has made a name for himself in the film industry as a writer, director, and producer. He is the founder of the creative studio Sav! The World Productions, where he wears all three hats.
Savin's most notable work is the animated Sci-fi series Oban Star-Racers (2006),which he wrote, produced, and directed with Thomas Romain. This groundbreaking series was co-produced between Japan and France, and it premiered in over 120 countries worldwide, including the USA and Japan. The series won several awards, including an Animeland Award and the Grand Prize for Entertainment at the Polymanga convention.
In addition to his work on Oban Star-Racers, Savin has also produced and directed TV commercials, short films, and animations for various company clients. He has also created animated series like The Magician and Molly, Star-Racer, and has written close to a hundred episodes for various animated shows.
Savin has also taken part in a number of short films as a writer, camera operator, producer, or sound engineer. One of his notable works is the stop motion animation special La peur du loup (2001),which won the Lutin Award.
As a descendant of Gustave Eiffel, Savin has contributed to a number of documentaries on his ancestor. For the centenary of Eiffel's death, Savin developed and directed the documentary Eiffel, la guerre des tours (2023) with Mathieu Schwarz. This documentary was a huge success, and it was one of the top 5 November audiences of Franco-German channel ARTE. An alternative version of the documentary aired on PBS under the name Eiffel's Race to the Top (2023).
Savin was also the curator of the travelling exhibition "Eiffel - higher and higher", which began on the esplanade of the Eiffel tower in Paris in July.
