Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, professionally known as Saweetie, was born on July 2, 1994, in Santa Clara, California, and spent her formative years in Sacramento, California, where she was raised by her parents, Trinidad Valentin, a former video vixen, and Johnny Kenton Harper, a former professional baseball player.
Growing up, Saweetie was joined by her two younger twin sisters, Milan and Maya. Following the success of her debut single, "Icy Grl," which earned a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA),she was signed to Warner Records and her manager Max Gousse's record label, Artistry Worldwide.
In 2018, Saweetie released her debut extended play, High Maintenance, on March 16. Her second EP, Icy, was released in March 2019 and featured the top 40 single, "My Type." Her highly anticipated debut album, Pretty Bitch Music, is expected to be released in 2021 and will likely include the top 20 singles, "Tap In" and "Best Friend," featuring Doja Cat.
As of December 2019, Saweetie is managed by music industry veteran Lou Burrell, who has been instrumental in guiding her career. With her unique blend of style, talent, and determination, Saweetie is poised to make a lasting impact in the music industry.
